Notes from Lyell.
(From Ouk Own Cokeespondent.) LYELL, September 28. The Mine Managei of the Alpine mine reports as follows: — Stoping has been steadily carried on all the week by the contubutors. They have discontinued work above No. 10 level, and all hands aie now engaged in the stopes south of the main connecting wmze, between Nos. 10 and 11 levels. The reef has widened out to 10ft, but is greatly mixed with mullock. The quantity of stone sent to the battery is 60 tons.
