All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers and addressed to the Secretary, pnd contain the necessary amount of entrance money, with description and age of horse, and colouis of the rider. Hurdle and Flat Races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. Trotting races to be run under the Rules of the New Zealand Trotting Association. In the Trotting Races the Totalisator will pay out on the first and second horses — that the first horse get 75 per cent., the second horse 25 per cent, on the total investments. Any horse winning a handicap on the flat or over hurdles of 30sovs or over after the declaration of the weights for first day to carry a penalty, of slb extra. Protests must be accompanied "with the sum of .22 to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Numbered Saddle Cloths will be supplied to starters at scales, and must be '\returned immediately after weighing in. Games of Chance strictly prohibited on the course.
