DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club, held on September 25, was attended by Messrs Solomon ft" the chiir), Damson, Cousjhlan, Myers, Vieers. Mills, and.Bulloch. Apologies were received from Mepsrs Thomson, Meenan and Taggait. The following lenders for the year were accepted fr>\ the privileges: — Race books, Paraeon Printing Company; stand booth, J. Toomey; staixl lunch, Miss Murray; ladies' tea room, Miss Murray ; public booth,. J. Toomey: public lunch and fruit booth, Mrs Bertraon: oyster stand. J. Lervin. The subcommittee reported haviuc engaged Mr C. O'Connor to act as starter at the forthcoming Hpriiier meeting.- — Approved. , It was resolved — "That bookmofcprs and their clerk? or aceuts be not admitted (o the club's Ki'ounds during the Sprinp. meeting : also that the outside totalisator bo worked at 10s ticket?. A letter was rend from the C"lt 1 o Fin l TTnck Rsioina Club etniing they had removed tho disqualification from I>. RusplL. &&&■
was imposed in July. 1886. — As this was a Hie sentence, it was decided to ask the club for their reasons for removing same.
The Railway Traffic Manager wrote 1 approving of the fo.lowing trains for the Spring meeting:— From Dunedin at 9.20, 10.50, 11.40, 12.20, and 1.15; returning from racecourse siding st 4.45, 5.15. and 5.30. The 11.40 and 12.20 out trains and 4.45 and 5.15 in trains will not stop at any intermediate stations
The following licenses v. ere granted: — Trainers: Robert Eilis. W. Buddicomb, H. .Ellis, E. Carter, K. M'Kay, William Pine, George Smith, R. Ryan. Jockeys' licensee : W. Buddicomb, E. Carter, George Tripp, Sydney Smith, John O'Cormell, T. Twomey, G. O'Keefe, E. CarLer, E. Hendry, W. Pine, W. Robb, J. F. Smith, B. M'Eldowney, George itspburn.
The following- were refused jockeys' licenses : — James R. Leeson and Thomas Shaw. The application of A. M'Kenzie and James Henry were held over pending further inouiries.
The following programmes were reported as approved: — Gore Club, October 24- and 25; Win ton Club, November 9 and 10; Alexandra Club, December 14 ; Vincent Club, January 1 and 2 ; Cromwell Club, Decamber 26 and 27 ; Gore Club (Summer), January 25 and 24 ; Tapanui Club, January 31 and February 1.
