Borough Council. — The newly elected councillors took their seats on Monday last, when the usual monthly meeting took place. There wos it full attendance ot councillors, and a lot ol business was put thiough. Th following committees wt_e appointed: — Finance — Ors '.Bray, Pell, and Etissel; "Works— Crs Smith, Ward, and Allcock ; jrleserves — M'Lane, M'Gregcr, and Thompson. Cr Allcock was appointed with the mayor to act as a deputation to the County Council to ask them to co-op€rate wjth the Borough Council m erecting a weighbridge m the borough.
