Notes from Reefton. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
REEFTON, September 23. The following are the latest di edging quota* lions:— -Buller Dredge, 10s to IIS; .Buller Junction, 10s to lls; Consolidated J3redgc,. v ss to Gs; Mokoia, 21 ■; 6d io 22*s 6d; Grey River (piemium), 14s 6d, 15s 6d; Grey River No. 2, 3s 9d to 4s 3d; Pactolus, ]2s Gel to 13s 6d; Eeefton United, par to 3d ; Old Diggings, par to 3d- Investment companies — Eeefton EleHric Light, I*3 3d to ls"Gd. " The Mokoia dredge is now completed, and will start work immediately. The machinery is now being placed in position on the Buller Junction pontoons, and it is expected work will commence inside three months. The machinery <^or the Rocklands diedge rg being delivered, and is being placed in position. The diedge is likely to be working by Christinas. A dredging company known as the Freehold Jubilee is now in couise of notation. The ground adioin<* the Consolidated Company's claim on the Buller itiver. From the piosX3ects obtained the wash is expected to yield 250z to 30oz per week. The late Mr Gow reported favourably on the claim. The secretarj of the company is Mr A. Dank, Westport.
