Bruce, M'Ara (secretary), and Garden (chairman and treasurer) . The' Waitahuna Band," through^ its bandmaster. (Mr Bruce), has kindly consented to give its services on the occasion. It was understood some time ago that the Government intended to give two days' notice before proclaiming, a holiday in order to enable the " various centres to complete their arrangements; but it was. also reported that all the railway employees were to receive a holiday — no train service at all on Peace, Day, — it behoves all country, townships to" se_e, ,that they procure their supplies of, fireworks in good time.
