The firft race at this year's meeting- was won by a real old identity in Warrington, who kept with a bunched field to the distance, and then ran out in front by himself. On the second day Warrington had another easy win ; St. Loanda got home in the Pony Rues after a punishing finish ; of the five runners for the Tinwald Handicap all had a turn in the lead, and the race ended in The Spinner just catching Nihili?t in time to make a dead-heat; Terrapin led all the way in tho Trial Handicap ; Huku lost a lot of ground at the start of the Coldslream Welter, but, well ridden by Brown, won by a length from Lady Medallist, Bloomer (who got away well) a bad third ; Izal was bought in at £37 aflei winning the Disposal Handicap ; and Giandshot fairly Avon the Farewell, paying £14 10s.
