BILLS PASSED.
On the motion for the third reading of the Slaughtering and Inspection Bill, Mr FRASER objected to taking the third reading at that hour, 1.30 a.m. Mr LAWRY also protssted. Tho Slaughtering and Inspection Bill was read a third ' time. The Trading Stamp and New Zealand Ensign Bills w ere also read a third time, and the latter passed, and wa,= greeted with three cheers, the Premier leading. THE HILLSIDE WORKSHOPS. I have just seen Mr Morrison, the member for Caversliam, regarding a paragraph in Monday's Timec to the effect_ that rumours are current that the Hillside Workshops are to be shifted to Mosgiol. Apparently there is not the slightest foundation for the statement. Mr Morrison tells me he ha? Eeen Mr Ward on the point, and the latt2r assures him thai this is the first he has heard of it.
