There was a good attendance of interested parties at the sale, bufc competition was confined to two of them, and as the highest bid under the hammer was only £5 15^ per acre, no business resulted. Mr Gray's reserve is an extremely moderate one, pncl it is seldom that such an undoubtedly good farm ro close to Dunedin can be purchased at! anything like the price Mr Gray is prepared to tpke. As Mr Gray is retiring from farming, the auctioneers are authorised to say that the property will bs sold to the first party who submits a reasonable offer.
