ROSLYN BOWLING CLUB
The closing match of the season was playsd by the Roslyn Bowling Club on Thursday afterneon between teams chosen by the president and secretary, victory, after a close game, resting on the side of the president by 10 points. The scores were: — Mr Throp (s) 22 and Mr Matheson (s) 22, tot?l 44, against Mr Clothier (s) 20 and Mr Allnutt (s) 14, total 34. Mr Throp, in his closing remarks, referred to the kindly feeling which had existed amongst the members during the season, and mentioned particularly the excellent care and attention paid to the green by the ground keeper, Mr Dobb. , The health of the president, coupled with that of the ladies, was proposed by the secretary in appropriate terms, and the bowling season of 1599-1900 closed with a chorus of hearty cheers and good wishes for an equ^y happy and successful season when the green is reopened.
