We're sons of the free, on land or sea, Under the Union Jack. .Hail to the flag, fire-torn By battles on every shore! Though battered, shattered, tattered, and worn, 'Tis militant as of yore. Loud let the nations bawl — Yellow, 6x white, or black; Defying them all,, we stawd or fall Under the Union Jack. Hail to the flag homespun; Victorious over the world! With bay'net and gun we make them run Wherever it is unfurled. Never shall it decline ; Ne'er a defender lack; For "the thin red line" will over shine Under the Union Jcck. Deep is our grief and soro; With, soirow our eyes are wet; For the brave who fight in the ranks i»o more, Silent in death ; and yet — Wide le'. the bunting fly, Instead of the sombre black! The low and the high like heroes die Under the Union Jack. Equipped for the strife we send The young, the strong, and the brave ; Our hands to the buiden of Empire lend No Briton was ee'r a slave.
