This little book of verses, dedicated to the New Zealand Rough Riders, is fuil of warlike sentiment's from cover to cover. It the standard of literary merit is not very high, tne sentiment and intention are excellent, for we learn that the publishers, Messrs Whiteombe and Tombs, have generously foregone any commission o*ii the .S'>le, so that all the pz'oceeds may be devoted to the ''More Men Fund.'' Every I invhaser then of "Patriotic Rhymes'' has the satisfaction of knowing he* has contributed Is to the cause of the Empire.
