OTHER MATCHES.
At the conclusion of the Opoho-Albion match a friendly game was indulged in between the two teams. The Albion, winning the toss, elected to bat, remaining at the wickets till the call of time, and putting up the respectable total of 193 for four wickets. Subjoined are the scores: — Uttley, c sub., b Nichol, 44; Cummings, c and b M'Gavin, 46 ; Peake, c and b Kilgour, 0 ; -Williams, not out, 51; Corbett, run out, 23; Thomson, nofc out, 1; extras, 28; — total for four wickets, 193.
Methodist Central Mission journeyed to North-East Harbour, and defeated the local team by 49 runs. North-East Harbour, battiflg 12 men, could only make 12 runs against the excellent bowling of A. Beck (six for 5) and Warburton (five for 6). To, this Central Mission replied with 61 (J. Cameron 24, Ashton 10). Pearce and Nyhon bowled well for the local team. Central Mission thus close their season with the fine record of : Matches played, 15 ; won, 15 ; lost, 0.
