Henry covered a mile in lmin 49sec, and War God a mile and a-half in 2min 53^sec. Blunderer rattled off eight furlongs in lmin 49sec. Watch Dog beat Callonia over threequarters of a mile in lmin 20sec. Seahorse, assisted at intervals by Papoose, Naioth, and Lethbridge, covered 11 furlongs in 2min 33seo without effort, accomplishing the gallop of the season. Amourette covered three-quar-ters of a mile in lmin 18sec. Pretorius, hard held, went six furlongs in lmin 27scc. Wait-a-Bit got all over Vengenza over a mile in! lmin 52^sec. Barnato beat Fairlie over a mile in lmin 52j.sec. Town Clock accomplished nine furlongs in 2min 19sec. _ February 26. Parthian overreached himself in a gallop and hit his leg, the results of which are not certain. Odds of_ 100 to- 8 v are offered on the field for the Newmarket \ Handicap, Cornquist, Sequence, and Foret being at that price; 100 to 7 is on offer Watchdog and Stand Off', 100 to 6 Veloce ; 1000 to 50 was laid Silvermoor.
