THE WEST COAST MATCH,
The match Wanganui v. the Melbourne Cricket Club Eleven was commenced on the 21st inst. The weather was close and oppressive, but the wicket and outfield appeared to be in good condition. His place was taken by Lxixford. Wanganui won the toss, Marshall and Pratt going to the wickets. The pitch was fast. The score reached 128. Some slight rain then fell. The Australians then went in, and had scored 182 for the loss of nine wickets when stumps were drawn for the day.
