THIRD CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP.

The match Carisbrook E v. Grange No. II was played on the North ground on Saturday, when Carisbrook) won by 13 runs. For the winners Boyd (15), Moore (11), and Sama (111 played good cricket, the latter's play be* ing vigorous, if not elegant. For Grange; M'Neil (13), Spence (10), and Daniels (10) showed good form. J. Columb and Bridger for Carisbrook, and Crosbie for Grange, captured the majority of the wickets. Privateers No. 2 met and- defeated Mornington C at Mornington after an excitingfinish by 1 run, the former making 27 runs and the 'latter 26. For the winners B. Smith. (11) and H. Miles (5) batted best, and R. Smith, and Whitty bowled well. Harris bowled well for the losers. Opoho claim the match against Roslyn No. 1.
