CANTERBURY AGRICULTURE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, February 20.

Good progress has been nfade with the harvest during the past week, and the bulk of the crops are now secured. Very little damage was caused by the stormy weather of a fortnight ago, and the returns from grain threshed from slook are, as regards volume, entirely satisfactory, though the condition leaves something to be desired. Sheep p.vo dearer than ever, and many farmers are making up their minds to keep their lambs, though 12s 6d on the farm is the current value of good freezers. Good ewes arc selling at 13s to 15s, and forward wethers at the same price, while good store lambs command from 10s to 11s.
