FINGERS BEYOND CONTROL.
When the fingers are held in a certain position the top joints become limp despite the will of the owner. To test this curious fact, hold the leit hand in the position shown in ihe first illustration. Then bend down the middle fii ger, as in the second picture, and you will fiud that the end of the linger becomes flexible, while the remainder of it remains quite rigid. The same experiment way be tried with the first an', third fingers.
