OTAGO ASSCOIATIO N COMMITTED.

The Otago Cricket Association Committee met on we 14-th inst., there being present —Messrs L. Goooh (chairman), C. R. Smith, W. Maclean, U. Restieaux, F. H. Campbell, D. Thomson, C. Rattray, and F. Ligginf. A letter was read from Mr H. F. Ward (Union Steam Ship Company), who had volunteered for service in the Transvaal, asking that the horse donated to the contingent might be l/aeed at his disposal.—Mr Smith explained that the horse had been given to the Contingent Committee unconditionally, but if it was consonant with their wishes the writer could have the horse. He had written to this effect to the committee on his own responsibility, not being^ able to come across any of the members of the association.—Mr Douglas M.
