B BATTERY v. E BATTERY.

A carbine match between teams of 10 men a-side was fired on Christmas morning at Pelichet Bay range, the Dunedin men winning by J66 points. Condition : 10 shots at 200 kneeling and 500 yards. A puffy and varinble wind and constantly changing light made good shooting almost impossible. Scores. —

B BATTERY (DUXEDIS),

A TRIANGULAR MATCH. A match arranged between the Dunedin, Chxistchurch, and Invercargill City Guarda took place on the Fairview range on Christmas Day. The weather was not the best for high scoring-, the wind and light proving very tricky at times. Victory rested with the home team by a majority of 5 points over the Christchurch team and 77 points over Invercargill. A most enjoyable day was spent, and the best of goodfellowship prevailed-.
