A DISASTER IN ITALY.
ROME, December 23. The enormous rock site of the Cappuccini Hotel, Amalfi, suddenly fell into the sea, wrecking the hotel and monastery below and several houses. A number of tourists were killed. December 24. Several English ladies were killed at Amalfi through delaying their escape in their eagerness to save their jewels.
