GREEN VALLEY.

December 4. — A very enjoyable concert and dimee was given by the Waihemo Minstrels in the Waihemo Bchoolhouse on Friday, Novefnber 17. There was a good attendance considering the number of entertainments which have been got up for 'the some purpose (the organ fund). The programme *as: — Chorus, "Jingle bolls" ; song, "Masea'e in da cold, cold ground," Bones; eong, "I want to see the old home," Miss Bayly; song "It's a pretty little place inside," Snowball; eong, "Hard times come again no more," Miss Ross ; song, "Sailor boy," Mr Matheson; sen, "0 Susanna," Tambo; song, "Come, birdie, come," Misb Morrison ; song, "Oh, Joe, the boat is going over," Pompey; sketch, "Zulu band." After the interval, song, "Rose of Allandale," Mr J. Bayly ; song "Sweet Island of Ulva," Miss Morrison; song, "How de do de," Mr Budge ; eong, '"Dublin Bay," Miss Ross; song, Mr J. Morrison; song, "The eoul's awakening," Miss Bayly; song, "Be kind to your parents," Mr Matheson ; song, "The song that will live for ever," Mr F. Bayly ; song, "Come home, dear father," Mr Budge; duet, "Toll me where is beauty found," Misses Morrison and Ross; song, "Eileen Alannah," Mr Beveridge; farce, "The Lunatic Asylum." After tho farce all joined in singing "God save the Queen." Mr Beveridge accompanied the singers on the organ in his usual satisfactory manner. After tho school_w»s cleared, dancing wa3 started and kept uj> till about 3 a.m. First-class music was' supplied by spmo of the

young men. The minstrels desire to thank the ladies who supplied the refreshments.
