WYNDHAM.

November 29. — We ere having beautiful •weather here at present, consequently everything i% looking flourishing. Most of the farmers are buaily employed getting in their turnips. I notice a few have started shearing, but it has not become general yet, &c the big sheds <lo not start until the first of the month. Jn most cases, the clips are pioving satisfactory, although J hear occasional complaints that the wool is light. This is attributed to the spell of tough weather we experienced last month. Obituary. — I regret very much having to record the sudden death or j\lr J. Y. Cook, of Mokorota, which occurred at Balclutha on Monday la.Bt. Deceased had been to Dunedin, and took ill quite suddenly on his return journey. He leaves a wife and large family to mourn their loss, to whom the news would come as a terrible shock, as he left in good health only a iew days before.
