THE PHILIPPINES.
NEW YORK, September '27. The Americans captured seven forts in Ceba Island, killing 40 Filipinos. October 1. The Philippine insurgents in the island of Mindanao, and at Garcia Hernandez, in the island of Bohol, have tendered their submission to General Otis. SYDNEY, September 27. News from the Philippines states that ten soldiers, belonging to the American Coloured Regiment, were drowned by the capsizing of a boat near Manila.' The white soldiers who went to their assistance were also drowned. *
