FAITH.
All nations venerate thy name, In action, word, or deed; Thou'rt Nature's mystic gift to man Apart from sect or creed. In every heart thou hast a throne, Companion ever dear ! Thy charm unfolds the great unknown. And brings the future near. For man could only live to-day In dread despair and sorrow, If Faith illumined not the way Of dark, unknown to-morrow. In toil thou axt the cheering sign, Our daily bread is sown, While Faith perceives the reaping time, And sees the harvest home! And he who sails the boundless sea, Leaves home for distant shore In perfect trust, from fear set free, By faith in Nature's law! In old and young, or bond and free, Is found thy soothing calm, • E'en heathen minds, unconciously, Are subject to IJiy charm. How mucK^we owe to magic Faith' Of many form 3 sublime, Tho' seeming frail, a bridge quite saff Across the steeps of Time! O beauteous Faith, by child displayed, And faith in things above! With faith well tried by grief and pain And faith in desperato love! The higher Faith O may wo know, Ancl walk in truth the way, From bitter night of sin and woe, To bright, immortal day! H. A. COBBLEDICK. Otautau, September 1809.
TESTIMONIAL. Mr E. H. Browne, county engineer, writes as follows : — Mr S. J. Evans. Dear Sir,— Although I had tried yous. TTJSSICUHA in several instances when suffering from a more or less severe form o! cold with entire success, it was only recently 'that it was possible for me to test it in the case of influenza. I am pleased to say that the use of the mixture resulted in a complete cure, and all traces of this exceedingly troublesome complaint were removed. I regard your preparation as a most valuable one, and as I have had frequent opportunities, both ib regard to myself and members of my family, of testing it, I can speak with some authority on the subject. It is to bo hojied that TUSSICURA will prove profitable to ynorself, as I am sure it deserves to be. Wishing, you every success in your undertake ing, — I am, yours very truly, EJCHAfiB g.
