"Warmth and gladness in all around , In this happy time — 'tis strange— yet leaves even then Fall to the ground. Glorious the autumn, bright summer pasf, Tinted the leaves with purple and gold; Keen blows the wintry blast, fall all the leaves at last To crumbling mould. —MATT. September 1333.
