DUNEDIN HOMING PIGEON CLUB.
The annual race held in connection with the Dunedin Fanciers' Club Show was flown from St. Andrews (101 miles), on Saturday. A light south-west wind interfered slightly with the birds. -The following .was the result : — Mr. W. H. Jeavons's Fashoda first, time 2hr 52min, velocity 1036 yds permin. The same owner's Avon Pearl secured second honours, with a velocity of 1018 yds. Third place was filled by Mr J. G. Macdonald's Pilot, with a velocity of 967 yds. The thanks of the club are due to Mr F. Wederell, of St. Andrews, who kindly liberated the birds. The above birds will be exhibited at the show on Friday and Saturday next.
