The Egmont Farmers' Union (Limited). — Hawera, July 21, 1899.—At Stratford on the 14th a fair yarding of cattle came forward, most of which changed hands at the hammer. Fat bullocks, £5 2s '6d; dairy cows, £3 10s to £5 10s; store cows, £1 10s to £2 10s; 15 to 20 month steers, £1 3s to £1 18s; two-year-old heifers, £2 to £2 7s 6d. Sheep.—Ewes in lamb, 10s. At the Glover road yards on the 20th inst^ we had a good yarding of both cattle and 1 sheep. The attendance was large, and bidding fairly brisk for most of the stock. Although several lines were passed at the" hammer, most, of these changed hands before * leaving the yards.
