Canterbury jnutton i 8 worth 4d per lb; Wellington do, 3d per lb; prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase S|d per lb. New Zealand beef : Forequarters is worth 2Jd per lb; hindquarters, 3d per lb. Tallow: There is rather a better demand. "Wheat: Market dull. New Zealand wheat, long-berried, is worth 28s 6d per 4961b.
