I watch them as they idly stand, And laugh and joke in merry glee; I wonder if they understand The reason of my misery! Our courtship days are all forgot— I hate him, though I know him not! I used to call her pvefcty once, And thought she had a winning way, But now I think her just a dunce Who cannot recognise a "' jay."
