LAWN TENNIS.
The return match between the North-East Valley and Sawyers' Bay Clubs was played laat Saturday on the Valley Club's courts. A strong south-west wind was blowing, but nevertheless some good rallies took place in ninny of tho sets. The lady members of the Valley Club provided afternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated by the players and tho numerous spectators. The following aro the detailed scores. —
Majority for North-East Valley Club, 30 games. A match took place on Saturday between the Taieri and the Otago Lawn Tennis Clubs on the latter club's ground. Tho home team won rathor easily by 108 games to 48. The visiting team have only started the game this season, md the result only ended as was expected.
