Church Matters.—A congregational meeting was held in the Presbyterian Church on the afternoon of Tuesday last, and in the evening the Clutha Presbytery met to consider the resignation of the Rev. W. Grey. Thore were present the Rev. .Messrs Fraser Kilpafrick Dalrymple, and Allan. The resignation wiu accepted, and the church will be declared vacant on the last Sunday of the present month Things have not been going on well in this church for the last two years, and it is high time the matter was looked into. Time was when *we had a lively prayer meeting every week, and a Christian Endeavour, anci •a flourishing Sunday school; now, all is strif< and confusion. Sadly do we need the " refreah ing showers " in our midst.
