A quarter of a mile fiom home Sonatina and Royette were in trouble, and Georgic at once took up the running from Elfin, with Sonatina trying to struggle on fiom Elfin, Bridegroom 11, Gazetteer, Sardis, and Newhaven 11. Although Georgic was well clear at the distance Gazetteer had commenced to fast pick up his giound, and in passing Elfin and Biidegioom II he reached the girths of Georgic, and was beaten by three parts of a length. Sardis was close up fifth, Newhaven II sixth. Time, lmin 40 2-ssec.
