Messrs Edward Thomas and Co., Bond street, Dunedin, wool, skin, hair, and hide merchants report : —

Rabbitskins. — Monday's salos proved very erratic, best skins showing in many instances a clear decline, while in a few case 3 price 3 fully maintained at recent rulings. Lower-grade skins show a decided falling off, and may be quoted at fully a penny decline on recent valves. Hair continues firm, and is wanted. Hides — Although buyers aie inclined to lower prices, good value is still being ofiered. Sheep -kins continue in sellers' favour.

Pears : Dessert, 3Jd to Ahd ; cooking, 2^d to 3d. Apples • Cookers, 2d to 2}d ; dessert, 2J.d to 3d ; Tasmanian S.l'm., 9s Gd to ]ls; F.C., 9s to 10s; S.P., 9s. Pineapples, 3s to 4s per dozon. PeaJiuts: Fiji, 2fd and 3d ; Japanese, 3d. Walnuts, figs, dates 111 stock at market rates.

Produce.- -Eggs very short supply. Butter. Fresh, 8d to 10d; salt (prime), 7^d to BJd (little inquiry). Cheese: Factory, 4-id to J]d; Ak.iroa and farmers' ivantcd. Bacon : Roll, did to 7d. Hams : We have inquiry for supply. Pigs, 4d to 4Jd. Beeswax, Is 5d to Is 9d (wanted). Poultry. — Sales every day at top piices. Potatoes.— Kidneys, £6 10s to £7; Derve:its, £7 10s to £8.
