DUNEDIN CITY MISSION.
The monthly meeting of committee was held at the Bible Depot on Wednesday, when there were present — Captain Thomson, Messrs G-. M. Thomson (in the chair), T. N. Wilson, E. Rosevear, W. Hutchison, and D. Wright (missionary) .
An anonymous friend had sent £1 ; St. Andrew's. Deacons' Court pent a kindly message and £2 2s; a letter of hearty thanks ivai received from Rev. W. C. Oliver, Mornms;tou We.sleyan Church, for a week of service* by Mr Wright, with a donation.
It was resolved lo record hearty thanks to all who had assisted at the service of song recently at Russell street Hall, but specially lo Miss M'Carthy and Miss Morrison. The entertainment was attended by over 200 persons. Mr Rosevear reported the following donations, etc. :— A lady £1, J. F. £1, Anolii'ufriend (South Dunedin) £1, Rev. W. C. Oliver £1, Mr B. £1, Russell sti-oet service of pong £3 5s 6d. Hon. T. D. £1, A. F. £L, St. Andrew's Church £2 2s, Russell sWeet monthly collection 18s 2d.
It was reported thai, arrangements wero completed for Mr G. M. Thomson's lecture on India, with limelight views, at St. Andrew's Hall next week ; and that the service of song " Eva " was now in hands, and would be given later on. Tho Stale school Bible-reading classes have been resumed with good attendances, and the prospects are encouraging. The missionary has assistance in all the schools except one. Reports wore also given in as to the Sunday evening services where many friends have assisted and a<< to the week day and Sunday Borvicos held by the missionary. The calls for his services are increasing from all quartets.
