The Prince o£ Wales, while on a vieit to Wodnecdon Manor, slippad on tbe staircase and fractured his left kneecap. He has been removed to London, whore he is doing well.
The Prince of Wales passed a restless night.
July 20.
The Prince of Wales is piog/essiag favourably, and is fairly comfortable considering the" severity of the accident. The Eontgen rays were used to show the extent of the injury. Some uneasiness is felt on the score that several weeks' confinement may affect his health.
Deep regret is felt throughout Great Britain and Europe, and there have been innumerable callers. The Prince of Wales passed a good night. July 21.
The Prince of Wales is considerably better. His expected lameness will be averted.
The Prince of Wales is making good progress. Sir J. Lister and other attendants on the Prince of. Wales agree that an operation iB not necessary, splinting and bandaging being preferable. The British Medical Journal fears there will be some permanent lameness.
July 23.
The swelling and internal bleeding of the Prince of Wales's knee has been greatly reduced. The kneecap is regaining its normal position. The doctors have not expressed any opinion whether the accident will result in permanent lameness. The patient will probably be removed in the royal yacht Oaborne to Cowes. Dniing his illness His Royal Highness uses the electrophone for opera and theatres.
