Sergeant Giilies, with a posse of constables proceeded five miles into the bush at the".back of Hape Creek last; night, and seized a still and worm. The fire was still burning, but there was no trace of the distillers, who, no doubfc alarmed, had decamped. No whisky was found. The place was excellently chosen, being on the bank of » small stream.
