Notes from Tuapeka. (From Our Wetherstones Correspondent)

June 6.— A1l tbe claims around her* have been working some extra hours lately. The Blue Spur has kept working to 11 p.m. nearly every night. The Local industry has been idle this lait few weeks waiting the warden's decision concerning a piece of space ground which they took up below their claim, and which is disputed by tho owners of the ground below, Tho Local Industry has been trying to buy the claim belonging to the Robertsons, at the lower end of Wethersfcones Flat. The owners of fche ground asked a price with certain terms, which I understand the Local Industry were williug to pay. The other party, however, when they found that their terms bad been conceded to, backed out.

The Goldeu Rise, after taking off a paddock of an acre in iize, have shifted their plant. They commenced elevating sgaiu last week. At present they are woridea; 1(3 hour*., a day.
