" , New Plymouth, June 6. Mr Margolionth, who came out oa behalf of English capitalists to collect information re ironsand, has qow completed his inspection, and returns to London almost immediately. He has visited Mokau to assure himself with regard to the coat, lime, and timber, and is . more than satisfied. He intends to recommend this principals to take up a lease of the fore- ' shore between New Plymouth and Mokau. Probably LOOO tons of sand will be shipped - Home for trial on a large scale.
Among the cargo of the Gothic, which left New Zealand for London last month, was 20 tons of ironsand taken from the beach at New Plymouth. It is intended for the St. Stephe Ironworks Company, in the south of France, who applied to the Agent-general for New Zealand for a, quantity of the sand for experimenting, having heard of its remarkable purity.
