THE NEW GUINEA GRAB.
Bbisbanw, May 29.
With regard to the New Guinea land grab, Mr Chamberlain, replying to the Premiers 1 remonstrance, states that a despatch bearing on the subject is already on its way to tbe colonies. Under the circumstances action will be withheld till the opinion of the colonies is obtained.
May 30.
Mr Chamberlain has returned ths New Guinea Land Concession Ordinance to Sir William Macgregor, requiring its amendment in certain details.
