The Borough Council several yeais ago made bj-lawa for the inspection of dairies supplying milk to the town, and uuder them a number of cattle suspected of disease were killed, bub the by-law did not extend to dairies where all the milk was made into buttsr. The Stock department has recently been inspecting some with the tuberculosis test, with the result that a number of cows were condemned, 35 in one herd of 60 btirtg set aside for slaughter.
