The running was made by St. la in the centre from Ninus and Orzil on the rit»ht, and Di*judonnc and Royal Footstep on the left, with Hawfinch outpaced in the rear. This order was maintained to the Bushes, where Ninus deprived Sfc. Ta of the command, and came on in advance of Dieudonue, and they entered the Abingdon Mile Bottom nearly side by side. In the meanwhile Hawfinch, who had gradually warmed to his work, began to dravy up on the whin hand, aud with the weight telling a tale Dieudonne gradually collapsed. Thereupon Hawfinch closed with Niuus inch by inch, and, amid a scene of excitement, upset the crack by a ueck; a length between second and third. Oiv.il was fourth, and Royal Footstep last.
