Love Wisely took up the running and settled down clear of Velasquez, Ardeshir, and Rapallo, immediately behind whom laid Merle and Goletta, with Chelandry bringing up tha rear. In these positions they travelled to the T.Y.C. winning post, when Rapallo dropped out of the race, hit retreat being quickly copied by Axireus and Ardeahir. At the Bushes Love "Wisely was ia clear command, and came down the hill pursued fey Velasquez and Chelandryi with a wide gap now dividing th--m from the_ remainder, of whom Goletta had drawn into fourth place. As they entered the Abingdon Mile Bottom the fate of Velasquez was sealed, and runniDg in trouble from this point Hhelandry caught him stride by stride until only half a length divided them in the fight for second money. At the same time Love , Wisely was kept in full swine; to the end and won in good style by three lengths. Goletta finished fourth. Time. 2miu 13se&
