INDUSTRIAL MINING EXHIBITION.

Auckland, July v 29. 1 Already over £3000 is guaranteed towards an i Industrial Mining Exhibition to be held in Auckland next year. It is intended to run a large gold court in connection with the exhibition. The committee hops to get a Government subsidy of £1000. A meeting yesterday resolved to ask the Governor to be patron. Mr B. Kent, 'chairman of the Chamber of Com-.; merce, was elected president, and a strong committee formed, including the mayors of Gisborne, Thames, Onehunga, and New Plymouth, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, the president cf the Canterbury Industrial Association, Messrs H. B. Kirk (late president of the Canterbury Industrial Exhibition), Samuel Brown (late president of the Wellington Industrial Exhibition), and W. H. Milward -(general manager of the Gear Meat Company, Wellington).
