Notes from Tuapeka.
(From Our Wetherstones Correspondent.) June 7.—Robertson Brothers are getting the dredge they bought removed to their claim by ' degrees. Half of their pontoon arrived last Wed- j nesday. The roads are Retting bad, and it won't ) be easy to get the other half and the boiler down j with safety. The Golden Rise is still working one shift of ! nine hours. They will soon be shifting their I boxes again. The late snow earned away a part ! of their race. They lost a few day*' water through that; and the breaking of the Phcenix race at the I head delayed the Local Industry mine a couple of days. The Blue Spur mine keeps working away steadily till late at night. I can see the glare of , their electric light reflected in the sky till l*te at ! night.
