HIGH SCHOOLS BOARD OF GOVERNORS.
The monthly meeting of the Governors of tho High Schools was held on the 3rd, and attended by Mesera J. F. M. Fraser (chairman)* J. Allen, M.H R., J. R. Sinclair, and Dr Brown. , Accounts and salaries for the month of May were passed for payment amounting to £463 15s lOd. A letter was read from Mr T. S. Baker, master of the boys' boarding house, asking to be allowed to spend the amount due by him for fees on account of his preparatory class on repairs to the rectory. —The request was agreed to. A letter was road from Mr W. Murray, lessee of oection 17, block V, Mokoreta district, asking if the board would allow compensation at the end of hie lease for clearing about 150 acres of bush and scrub and laying id down in English grass. —Referred to Mr J. L. M'Donald tor a report. The tenders for the supply of snow gratings for the Boys' High School were referred to the secretary with power to accept the lowest. The tender of Mr W. Patrick for the supply of meat to the Girls' High School was accepted. Two tenders for the supply of fuel were received, and the lower —that of Mr J. Swan — was accepted.
