London, June 2. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,290,000 quarters, and for the Continent 870,000 quarters. Tallow : Mutton — fine, 183 6d ; medium, 17s. Beef — fine, 18s; medium, 16s Gd. Silver, 2s 3 916 d. Share quotations : National Bank of New Zealand, LI 15s ; Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, 103 ; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company 4 per cent, prior lien debentures, 90. June 3. The Bank of England reserve is L 25.246.000, the proportion of reserve to liabilities beiDg 50 56. Three months' bills are discounted at 1 per cent. Console, 112f . The stocks showing a. heavy fall compared with last week are ex dividend declared on Jans 1. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 37,975,000 bushels. The English wheat market shows a general decline of 6d per quarter. The Continental is declining and weak. The American shows a general decline. Californian No. 1 milling wheat, 30s 93 ; Russian cargoes, 2S« ; London quotation No. 1 hard Dalutb, 32s 3d. The Bradford wool market ie dull. Sugar is flat. German beet' 8s 7£d ; Java, 10s 9d. IroD, 445 10£ d. June 6. Hides : Ox, unchanged ; cow, £fi dearer. A thousand boxes of butter have been reshipped to Melbourne. The report of the New Zealand Trust and Loan Company shows a profit for the year of L 36.828. A dividend of- 5 per cent, is recommended, and LIB2B carried forward.
