Town v. Country.
No entries from country players have come to hand at time of writing. It is to be hoped our country friends will not leave the matter of sending their entry to the last day. The committee are anxious that entries should be sent in as early as possible. The following additional entries for the town team have been received :— Messrs Bruce. Hastie, Willis. Tiley, Morton, Cleary, W. Don, Craig, Smith, A. King, D. Kerr, F. and R. Botting, Hold en, Hornby, and Davidson. The match will probably take place on Thursday or Friday evening, June 24 or 25. The date of the show opening has now been altered to Wednesday, 23rd, so the committee will no doubt arrange 'for some othar evening. Date will be notified next week. Entries close June 18— to be Rent to Mr J. A. Lucas, care of Draughts Editor, Witness.
