REDUCED FREIGHT RATES ON WOOL.
Chbistchubch, June *. In addition to the reduction in the wool rates by sailing ships next season announced last week, the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company and the New Zealand Shipping Company have agreed to reduce the steamer freights by £d per lb. Next season's rates of freight foe greasy wool will therefore be § d by sailer and by steamer.
Messrs J. D. Ritchie and T. W. Kirk, of tho Department of Agriculture, have bean chosen fco represent the Government at the Inter* colonial Fruitgrowers' Conference at Brisbane, but it is feared that pressure of business will prevent Mr Ritchie attending. Cocoannt Oil Cake has an annual Bale of thousands of tons on the Continent for feeding cows, Every farmer should use it where quan« tity and quality of milk are reauired. — Nimm< and Blub, Danedin.
