Mining at Riverton. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
May 3.— A new reef has been discovered in the Longwood on the eastern slope, about 10 miles from Riverton, showing plenty of stone, the assay of which gives about loz to the ton. Tha Longwood is proverbially uncertain, but rich linds have been made from time to time, though they have always been patchy, and there need be no surprise if something permanent has at last been struck. An ounce to the ton is not phenomenal, but with a good body of stone it will rjay well.
